Red Miner Newspaper: “You will be more developed with City Development Institute!”

Deputy Mayor Olexandr Svitlychnyi while opening the meeting emphasized the issues of increasing economic competitiveness of our city and the improvement of investment conditions.

- two years and a half broad municipal programs and projects were implementing in our city that gives an opportunity to solve the most important problems of Kryvyi Rih renewing renovation, including ecological ones – said Olexandr Svitlychnyi. – In this regard, the city authorities support a permanent constructive communication with large business, conclude agreements on social partnership with a powerful "Metinvest" company, "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" enterprises, Public Company "Suha Balka", KIOP and others. Thus, considerable finances are being allocated, and what is more important, the amount increases year by year. It is worth mentioning, that all projects are implemented not only due to the financing from the local budget and enterprises, but also from the state and regional budgets. Almost 3.5 years we have been working closely with colleagues and partners from Canada, according to the agreement with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. The product of this program is a brand of the city, the development of city marketing networks, Kryvyi Rih City Development Institution. The promotion of the city brand as Ukraine's metal heart as well as great cultural center which solves social projects and supports good initiatives, is very important.

Also it was mentioned about the realization of "Investor's Guide" in our city – a handy electronic map of investment opportunities.

Since June "Virtual Business Incubator" as a module in "Kryvyi Rih Resource Center" has been functioning in our city. It enables potential businessmen start their work. The website is interesting, especially for students from educational establishments.

The Head of PU "Kryvyi Rih City Development Institution" Andriy Nagornyi told about the possibilities of collaboration between small and medium businesses and the institution led by him.

- We are preparing interesting and useful projects for potential investors for receiving grant assistance, holding professional marketing sociological surveys and master classes on different training programs. In the framework of this work we interact with representatives of small and medium businesses. Therefore, The City Development Institution as an organization and analytical centre can finalize an initiated business idea in the necessary direction. Also we are ready to encourage entrepreneurs to understand which accents they should put in work, including the categories of goods and services which are potentially interesting for residents of the city and in a certain district.

A lot of reasonable proposals were made at the round table discussions. When entrepreneurs wondered about the opinions of the journalist of "Chervonyi Girnyk" we were ready to answer. In fact, exactly the newspaper was holding Honey festival in Kryvyi Rih during 3 years. It contributed to the importation of tens of tons of healthful honey and also a great amount of a new product – mead in 9 regions of Ukraine. This has never happened before. It is our humble contribution to the development of Kryvy Rih image as a real honeyed capital of Ukraine in the future.
